EBONYI/DELTA: Kerosene price-hike, Scarcity fevers States

As price of kerosene hits 500 naira per liter in Ebonyi tuesday the scarcity of the product has become worrisome in some parts of Delta State.
As NOWAYO noticed that kerosene is available in all the filling stations visited in Abakaliki, but were only sold at the exorbitant price of between 400 naira to 500 naira per litre, reports from other states revealed that a few petrol stations where kerosene is on sale in Asaba, its environs, Ughelli, Ibusa, Agbor, Umunede and Igbodo communities have continued to witness long queue of persons struggling to buy the product for domestic uses.
But this is not the same in the prices which used to be between N180 and N200 and had now been increased to N500, with a bottle selling for N400, 00, 4 liters Jerry can selling for N2, 000.

NOWAYO learnt that residents are quickly beginning to adjust to the use of fire wood or charcoal burners.
