There was tension at the NYSC orientation camp, Karaye, Kano State, yesterday, following a clash between corps members and soldiers.

The clash stemmed from the excessive punishment being given to the corps members and little or no social activities in the camp. .

The matter reached climax yesterday, after some corpers where allegedly punished while returning from fellowship. It took the intervention of the State NYSC coordinator to calm the situation down. .

The corpers later demanded that the camp commander be decamped, a request that was eventually granted.
