Manchester City youngster Jadon Sancho has reportedly left his club baffled by going AWOL from first-team training duties for much of the last month amid speculation linking him with a transfer to Arsenal and other Premier League clubs.
The 17-year-old winger is regarded as one of the brightest prospects coming through at the Etihad Stadium, though he has reportedly been considering his future this summer.
City aren’t exactly known for offering their academy players a pathway into the first-team, and Sancho may feel he would be better off moving elsewhere to further his career.
Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United have been mentioned as among his main admirers, with two Gunners youngsters recently urging him via Instagram to make the move to north London.
It remains to be seen where Sancho will end up or if he will even be granted a move, but the Daily Telegraph claim City are growing increasingly concerned by his prolonged absence.
Staff at the club have supposedly tried and failed to get in touch with him after repeatedly missing training sessions since the club returned from their pre-season tour of the US a month ago.
Sancho is thought to be keen on moving back to London, where he was based at previous club Watford before being snapped up by City in 2015.
Arsenal have been mentioned most often as monitoring his situation, while he did little to dampen speculation over his future with an Instagram post earlier this month captioned ‘coming soon’ as he was pictured in Red Bull Studios in London.
