Relationships are the greatest source of happiness but yet cause a huge dept of lasting sadness and hate among some folks. While growing up, you dreamt of a happily ever after relationship, wedding, and having your fairy tales kids, but even the strongest relationships get off track sometimes because of the stress of living and mismatch of expectations.
This problem could be solved not just by love alone, but understanding.
When your partner speaks, make an effort to give full attention. Open your heart and take down your defenses. It’s not about defending yourself, but about trying to understand your partner & learning to fulfill each other’s needs. Listen beyond their words for nonverbal signs of emotion; like what was their facial expression or was there sadness in their eyes, (understanding ,respect and self-control) is needed in all relationships.
One of the best ways to keep a long-term relationship interesting is the easiest things you can do together.  Take dancing lesson together, Take a cooking class together, or do yoga with each other, go visiting places together. The bottom line is that you want to be with each other, but it’s always better to have something in common that you can discuss together. The stuff in the bedroom, that’s the easy part, but finding someone you actually want to talk to afterward, that’s the tough part. And when you finally get that, keep searching for something new to converse about and keep that initial feeling alive for the years ahead.
We must stop dreaming of prince charming and Romeo or Juliet and face the reality of our relationships, they are not all sunsets and roses. A better analogy is that of an ever-changing, complicated dance. When two people come together with different life histories, sensitivities, and current stresses, you are bound to bump up against each other or get blown off track over the course of a many-year relationship. But can be resolved by understanding.
