” 2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV
(For we walk by faith, not by sight”
Sometimes as believers, when the answer we seek seems long in coming, we tend to lose sight of the promises of God and start feeling weary in the mind.
Proverbs 13:12 KJV
“Hope deferred maketh the heart sick…”
Various factors may be responsible for the delay, but the effect is nevertheless challenging.
When impatience and delays try your faith, the first question you must ask yourself is “What am I considering?”
What do you focus on? Most times, people focus on their challenges. The Bible testifies that Abraham our Father in the faith, having received the promise of a heir from God did not consider his peculiar situation.
Romans 4:19 KJV
“And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb”
Sarah had hit menopause and Abraham’s manhood had become “dead” while waiting on God for answer to their challenge. In spite of these nasty challenges.
The Bible text above indicates that Abraham didn’t stagger at the promise of God. Instead of that, he gave glory to God - The Bible calls it Faith. How was Abram able to keep from staggering in unbelief?
Verse 9 reveals that Abraham didn’t CONSIDER the evidence of the deadness of the individual organs of conception of both he and Sarah’s womb. If a person keep looking at or considering their challenge, they will never grow their faith.
WHAT THEN SHOULD WE CONSIDER?
Hebrews 12:3 KJV
“For CONSIDER HIM that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds”
To consider Jesus is to continually look onto His finished work.
No matter the pressure, if you’ll keep trusting God by considering Jesus, miracles will flow unhindered.
Don’t consider your bank account,
Do not consider the Doctor’s report
Keep looking and considering Jesus. Victory is sure.
Have a good one today.
