Romans 8:1-2 KJV
There is therefore NOW no condemnation to them which ARE in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus HAS made me free from the law of sin and death.

The strength of your faith is greatly influenced and determined by your understanding of Bible truth. To understand Bible truth, you must be mindful of your tenses.

As you read the Bible, you must pause and ask yourself some important questions:
What is God saying here?
Is this a promise or a done deal already?
Is it a past, present or future act or event?

You will easily understand it when you pay attention to the tenses. Is whatever text you are reading written in the past tense, present tense, future tense? Is it in past perfect or present continuous tense?

This style of reading the Bible is most important because the tenses influence your senses. How you read and understand determines how you believe.

For instance, “Does a believer in Christ need to go for deliverance sessions?”

What does the Bible say about it?

Colossians 1:13 KJV
Who HAS delivered us from the power of darkness, and HAS translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.

The New Testament reveals that Christ has delivered EVERY believer FROM the Power of Darkness. The emphasis here is on the the reality of achievement. Deliverance has been achieved permanently for ALL those In Christ. In pretty much the same way, EVERYONE In Christ HAS been blessed and therefore cannot have a curse at work in their lives.

Ephesians 1:3 KJV
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who HAS blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

The Father HAS blessed us already IN Christ. This is a past perfect tense reality. It cannot be undone. It was done in the 2,000 plus past years In Christ, it is still in force today and will continue to be for the rest of our lives as believers.

Now, when your faith derives from such a reality, it will become firm and unshakable no matter how contrary or contradictory the circumstances become.

So as you read the Bible, be mindful of what has been achieved already, what is being done at the moment and what is coming in the future.
Mind the tenses and you’ll successfully manage your senses.

You are blessed and highly favoured today and always in the name of Jesus.
