Philippians 4:8-9 KJV
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, DO: and the God of peace shall be with you.
Your words will go in the direction of your thoughts. Therefore, your life will go in the direction of your thoughts and your words.
To effectively change any conduct, character or trend you dislike in your life, you must go for the jugular - get a grip on your thought life.
When they say someone is a bad person, the real problem is not the action but the thought patterns. The actions manifested are merely premeditated form of the thoughts.
Paul’s counsel is straight. Do you want to live an honest, just, pure, lovely life of good report? Then think thoughts that line up with such desires.
If you think sin, sickness, lack, borrowing, death or failure, as sure as the sun rises daily, you will talk it often and end up harvesting the fruits of what you’ve thought and said.
Let your thoughts be filled and dominated by the Word of God and you’ll inevitably find your life gravitating in the direction of those thoughts as you express them in words.
Change your thoughts today and stay on it in a disciplined manner by consistently guarding what you think about. It won’t be long, your world shall celebrate you.
Happy Resurrection Season as we celebrate the most wonderful event in the history of mankind.
Shalom Beloved, may you be richly blessed.
