2 Corinthians 9:6 KJV
“But this I say , He which SOWETH SPARINGLY shall reap also sparingly; and he which SOWETH BOUNTIFULLY shall reap also bountifully”
In the past 4 devotionals, we’ve been discussing about seed. We’ve also had to examine the 4 things that challenge the effective performance of a seed. To recap, here they are:
1. NOT SOWING THE SEED
2. SOWING AT THE WRONG TIME
3. SOWING IN THE WRONG SOIL
4.NOT SOWING IN FAITH
Every month, the female body undergoes some hormonal changes that result in a menstrual cycle. It is an experience that is mostly inconveniencing. Overall, that time of the month is a challenge for ladies; from the inconvenience of constantly changing towels to temporal immobilization caused by pain.
This cycle of inconvenience can be arrested by only 2 factors.
This is the time in a woman’s body when her menstrual cycle ceases. Occurring between the ages of 45 & 55 years, it usually signals the end of biological fruitfulness in a woman.
This happens when a woman receives a sperm seed and is subjected to a gestation period. During this period of 9-10 months, she’s free of the inconvenience of a monthly cycle of blood.
This means that for as long as she’s pregnant, the monthly blues will not hit.
Most working class people experience greater on payday than any other day. The excitement of receiving the salary cash quickly turns into frustration as bills and expenses viciously swallow up their sweat. In most cases, the take home pay can’t even take some people home.
The monthly frustration of Payday is real. However, it too can be either suspended or permanently terminated
** Just as the injection of the male sperm seed into a female womb forces the menstrual inconvenience to stop for almost a whole year, the introduction of a financial seed into a frustrating situation will “force” a suspension of the experience!
Therefore, to deal a permanent blow to the monthly “blues”, you must create an established giving cycle that will keep the situation under control.
That’s exactly how many of our mothers of the old guard dealt with their biological monthly blues of menstrual pain. They kept receiving sperm seed and producing harvests of kids. It’s no wonder that a number of them had any number from 7 - 12 children in their child - bearing years.
For as long as you keep sowing seed, you’ll be keeping at bay, any particular challenge that represents a “threat” to your peace.
WHAT SHOULD I SOW?
Since every harvest is determined by the seed sown, every seed to be sown should be determined by the need being faced. In most cases, a financial seed could be tied to a particular situation that may not be financial in nature. In such cases, the money assumes the character of whatever type of seed you chose to call it. It’s all a matter of Faith.
Why does sowing or giving occupy such a prominent place in life and spiritual service? This is because money is the biggest competition for the worship of the true God. Jesus himself made this submission.
Matthew 6:24 KJV
“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon”
In essence, money is a “god” that is capable of being worshipped by humanity. In giving, you are simply saying to God Almighty, “I believe you are the true God and I’m therefore laying down any other god at your feet in recognition of your supremacy”.
The reaction of certain people to the mention or paper feel of money is enough indication that there’s more to money than the paper notes in your hand.
Money is spiritual energy that expresses itself in the enslavement of men. When not properly identified and understood, money often becomes a deity that is worshipped secretly in the heart.
This is primarily why giving or sowing must be an act of faith, otherwise it will neither become an act of worship nor bless the giver.
In closing today, I’ll say this. When you have a NEED, sow a SEED, because of your SEED, you’ll be blessed INDEED.
God bless you.
