2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
As a blood bought and cleansed Saint in Christ Jesus, the degree to which you understand the Unconditional Love of God is the degree to which you will live and enjoy a fear free life.
The manifestation of ANY negative thing in a believer’s life is preceded by fear of some sort. All dominating fears are the direct offspring of the absence of this delivering truth.
To truly know the love of God is to be set free from fear of poverty, death, sickness, demons and your future. Granted “nobody knows what tomorrow holds”, but if you know the One who holds tomorrow and understand that His Love for you is steadfast regardless of where you have been and / or what you have done, then all fear is gone.
If the Greatest and the Richest Guy in all of creation is so madly in love with you that He gave you His only begotten Son, what then do you imagine that His love will not give to you?.
“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not WITH HIM ALSO FREELY GIVE US ALL THINGS?”
“For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: NO GOOD THING will he withhold from them that walk uprightly”.
From the scripture above, we can see that as a result of His wonderful love for you & I, God GIVES us the gifts of GRACE (Favor) & GLORY (Honor and Riches).
Now that we have His Gifts of Glory and Grace, God expects us to walk UPRIGHTLY for that is the “condition” for not withholding any good thing from us.
HOW THEN DO WE WALK UPRIGHTLY?
If Romans 8:32 (quoted above) says that God gives us “all things FREELY when we receive Christ, then obviously the condition of “walking uprightly” in Psalms 84:11 must refer to something other than our own performances and sinlessness.
If it is based on our performance & sinlessness, then The Holy Spirit writing by the hands of the Apostle Paul in Romans 8 wouldn’t have said we receive freely with Christ. Would He?
According to Strong’s Bible concordance, Walking uprightly in the literal Hebrew is the word “tamiym”. This is to be innocent, perfect and unblemished as a finished product.
How could anyone ever become “Completely innocent, perfect and without blemish” in the eyes of a Holy God?
Psalms 84:12 explains it as TRUSTING IN THE LORD!
“O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that TRUSTETH in thee”. (Emphasis Mine)
So perfection and receiving the blessings are accessible by trusting or believing in the Lord. This same thing Abraham did and was declared righteous by God.
4 And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
5 And he (God) brought him (Abraham) forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
6 And he (Abraham) believed in the LORD; and he (God) counted it to him (Abraham)for righteousness.
7 ¶ And he said unto him, I am the LORD that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to GIVE thee this land to inherit it. (Emphasis mine)
Romans 4:3 ” For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
Galatians 3:6 ” Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness”
SO TO WALK UPRIGHTLY OR BE RIGHTEOUS IS TO HAVE FAITH IN, BELIEVE OR TRUST IN GOD!
It doesn’t mean you don’t err or sin, it simply means that in the sight of God, He chooses to see you as perfect, innocent and without blemish. WHY? Because of His Unconditional love that gave us Jesus on the cross as the propitiation (Covering, Mercy seat) for our sins.
The whole benefits are based on the perfect and vicarious sacrifice of Christ on the Cross for us.
1 JOHN 2:1-2
” My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
And he is the PROPITIATION for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world”.
WHAT GREAT LOVE! WHAT A LOVER!!!!
I am the love child of my Father. I am the Apple of His eyes and the focus of His affection. His love has left me an inheritance. I prosper in 2017 by virtue of the Father’s love for me in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Have a great day & year ahead Beloved. May His light shine within your hearts, even as you shine within mine.
