Galatians 5:13-14 KJV
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. [14] For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Liberty in Christ is not a licence to live an immoral crazy life for the believer. Liberty in this context is freedom from the former strong influence of sin, wrong actions and lifestyle.

When appropriately understood, liberty in Christ becomes an available power to live right. Knowing that God is not counting sins against the believer should thus empower and embolden us to go the extra mile in living out the life of Righteousness received at New Birth.

In Philippians 2:13, the Bible teaches that God himself works in us a desire to actually do His good pleasure. The Holy Spirit within gives us fresh, pure and honorable desires, it is then up to us to accept and live out such desires by practice.

According to our Bible verse of today, Liberty in Christ sets us free to serve one another in love.  It removes the burden of flesh and gives us a fresh perspective on things. Mind renewal is perhaps the greatest asset of liberty in Christ. When our minds are renewed, we are then able to say along with the Apostle Paul:

1 Corinthians 10:23 KJV
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

You are NOT truly free, UNTIL you are free to choose between sinful and right choices!

In what ways do you think you may have used liberty licentiously? Would you like to adjust your conduct and truly begin to live the empowered life in Christ?
Why not bow your head in prayer right now and humbly ask your resident helper (Holy Spirit) to help you?

May Grace and Divine Wisdom guide you today and always.
