Matthew 12:36-37 KJV
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
When arresting people, the Police are obligated to read the suspect their rights. They’ll usually say “You have the right to remain silent. ANYTHING you say can and may be used against you in a court of law”
Just like the officers would advise suspects during arrests, God also advises in Christ that you be mindful of your words at any given time.
Despite the fact that we are in a spiritual season of favour, many are using their mouths the wrong way. Words are containers of Power. Power is the dynamic ability to cause change.
Since Man is the only other being apart from God that has the right to speak his OWN words, your words carry weight in the spirit realm. Neither animals nor angels have the right of self expression. Therefore, whatever you say will either justify you in the sense of activating angels to minister to you or condemn you by cooperating with devils to condemn you.
Over 4,000 years ago in a season like this in Egypt, God promised to give the Jewish slaves favour with the Egyptians. Imagine an oppressed person suddenly coming into favour with the oppressor to the effect that the oppressor lends or gives them gold. But by the introduction of a lamb’s blood on the doorposts of the houses of believing Jews and perhaps a few associated Egyptians, it happened. With the terror of death still weighing heavily upon them, the Jewish slaves made their demand for gold. The Egyptians gave them all they demanded and they left the land of Egypt rich.
In this Passover season, the blood of the Lamb of God has been shed on the Mercy Seat and favour has been released. All that is needed now is to apply it. In Egypt, they applied the blood to the doorpost of their houses to protect themselves from the destroying angel. The door is the main entrance into a house. In pretty much the same way, your mouth is the major entrance into your life. To apply the blood in this case is to put the finished works of Christ on your lips and start speaking them out.
Both Protection and Favour will be available to you by the blood. Don’t speak carelessly or joke away your previous words. That is what the Bible describes as “Idle” words.
Idle describes unemployment. Employ your words in the ventilation of your life.
Speak forth favour by the finished work of Christ. Let your words activate the sweet influence of favour in your life. Let favour cause your life to become flavoured and permanently remove labour from you.
This is a season of favour. Open your mind and activate it. Inhale and enjoy the sweet influence of Divine Favour.
You are truly blessed.
