Psalm 105:17-21 KJV
He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant: [18] Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron: [19] UNTIL THE TIME THAT HIS WORD CAME: THE WORD OF THE LORD TRIED HIM. [20] The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free. [21] He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:

Sometimes a Word you received from the Lord and believed may begin to tarry and delay. The tendency for you to start doubting may be there but do not give up. Even genuine Prophetic words do have set times for manifestation.

While waiting for the fulfilment of the Word you’ve received, stay excited and full of faith in God who never fails. Believe and seize the word fully. Hold on to it even in the dark moments of challenges. Wage a good warfare with it by confessing it often to yourself.

Joseph Ben Jacob was the favourite son of his father. His trouble started when he had a dream.
Joseph’s dream was his prophetic word from the Lord. That word came when he was 17 years old. It took another 13 years to manifest tangibly. Those 13 years took him from his father’s house to Egypt where God had destined its fulfilment. The pathway to destiny wound its way through some pretty rough terrain. From a Pit to Potiphar, from Potiphar to Prison, From Prison to Pharaoh and from Pharaoh to Prime Minister of the most powerful civilization of the then known world.
The Bible verse above states that WHEN it was time for Joseph’s word or dream to manifest, God’s Word tried or tested him. This test was in the area of how strongly he believed his own dream and how badly he wanted the fulfilment. His hunger for the fulfilment was evident in his 13 years of good attitude in patience. Everything he went through didn’t break him. He lost his way, his family, his clothes and even his dignity but Joseph held on tightly to the word he received by a dream. His dream came to pass in a land he never imagined and in ways he could never have fathomed. He became a very powerful ruler. Not only his family bow to him; the whole world did!

David Ben Jesse was anointed King by Prophet Samuel at the age of 17. It took him 13 years to BECOME king eventually. Between killing Goliath, living as a fugitive, escaping death narrowly & severally, learning honour, respecting the anointing on a dysfunctional king, pretending to be mad, and whipping together a bunch of discontented men into a tough fighting bunch, David was finally ready for his assignment.
He eventually sat on the throne of the man who wanted him dead and was honored by the entire nation of Israel.

Don’t quit on your word from God. The challenges you face are mere processes that try what you truly believe.
Hold on, be tenacious. Engage a bull dog disposition.
Remember that it is usually the darkest just before the dawn. Also remember that the most intense moments of a pregnant woman’s labour pangs are usually just before the baby’s delivery. Hold the push steady, the King’s messengers are at the door already. Don’t die in prison, the palace beckons and your world awaits! It’s your time.

Shalom Beloved.
