Genesis 12:2 KJV
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

These days everyone is talking about being blessed but very few understand that with God, everything is tied to purpose.

Why do you want to be blessed beyond your peers and siblings?

Why do you need another car?
Why do you need a bigger home?
Why do you need more money?
Why do you need a larger congregation?
Why do you need a larger auditorium?
Why do you need to travel abroad?
Why do you need a massive million naira wedding?

Is it that you want to assume a position of honour? The truth is that God is more interested in your Mission than your Position.
Your position will merely bloat your ego but your mission will save lives and fulfil divine purpose.

God does not finance overblown egos. He does not sponsor oppressive pride.  God does not endorse compulsive and profligate lifestyles.  GOD ONLY FUNDS PROCESSES THAT LEAD TO MATURITY SO THAT THE WORLD AROUND YOU CAN BE BLESSED WITH YOUR BLESSING!!!

The plan of God may be tied to a man but His purposes are usually beyond that man. Jesus died as one man but God’s purpose was to save the world.

Joseph was blessed so that he could save Egypt, enable the nation of Israel to be born and in the process enjoy the position of his dream.

Abraham wanted kids. He desired to become and to be known as a Father. God blessed him with Isaac so that from his lineage would come the Messiah.

The Blessing of God is designed to make you a blessing. It’s all about the Divine Mission and not your position. If you do not understand the mission of God, you’ll keep seeking a position and life will seem full of opposition. Please understand that every position you occupy right now, every opportunity you have now, every Grace you enjoy at this moment is not to consolidate your desired position but to make your divinely appointed mission possible and achievable.

Psalm 37:4 KJV
Delight thyself also in the Lord ; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

As you make yourself soft and pliable in the hand of God through understanding of His vision, the desired position you seek shall ultimately become yours even as the mission is fulfilled.

You were born to be great. Endure the process, enjoy the possession. You are coming out decorated for HONOUR. Selah.
