1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding….....”

Most people have dreams and aspirations but very few do something about it. Some embark on the pursuit of their dreams but give up almost immediately at the first sign of resistance.

Personal conviction is unavoidable in the pursuit of destiny. Where personal persuasion is missing, determination will be unavailable. This in turn will deny the dream chaser the power of focus or concentration.

Concentration is a major requirement for consecration to anything in life. Anyone who desires to succeed in life must learn to stay the course.  They must learn the inevitable practice of unbroken focus.
Distractions abound everywhere as many contrary “voices” (activities, people, opinions etc) clamour for your attention. It is up to you to sift them and determine what is most important to your pursuit on a priority scale.

In all, focus holds great benefits.

Our Bible verse of today teaches advancement or progress by emphasizing focus as STEADFASTNESS.
The Merriam - Webster dictionary defines STEADFASTNESS as “the action of being very devoted or loyal to a person, belief, or cause : not changing”.

Steadfastness means being immovable. This is the stuff that focus is made of. In Matthew 14, Peter walked on water for as long as he had his gaze focused on Jesus. However, when his focus was broken or wavered for just a couple of minutes as he recognized the waves, Peter started sinking. Every time focus is broken, things start going wrong immediately.

Anyone that desires advancement in life must ignore both concerned friends / family in the boat and the threat of the howling winds and waves. Focus must be on Jesus (representing what your desire is).

The Holy Spirit writing by the hand of Apostle Paul in our Bible text of today explains that when vision is STEADFAST OR IMMOVABLE,  Abounding is inevitable.

To abound is for anything you seek to be present in large numbers or in great quantity. This is to say that at the other end of focus and steadfastness, whatever you are pursuing shall be waiting for you in copious quantities.

You must therefore define the prize and determine that it’s worthy of the process. When satisfied, gird the loins of your heart and give it everything it requires. Joy awaits you at the end of your focused efforts. That is the Jesus model.

Hebrews 12:2 KJV
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; (our model) who for THE JOY THAT WAS SET BEFORE HIM endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Whatever, you ENDURE, must be predetermined by what you know you’ll eventually ENJOY. So SEE the prize, STAY the course, then you’ll WEAR the crown.

Shalom Beloved, do have an awesome one today.
