Proverbs 4:23 KJV
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

The physical organ called the heart pumps life blood and keeps the physical body healthy and strong. In the same way, the spiritual heart of man comprising his spiritual essence or inner man is what determines the Spiritual, Psychological, Physiological, Biological and Financial state of a person.

The word “Heart” is used by the Bible to convey the reality that your thoughts drive your life in the same way the physical heart drives health in your body. God therefore counsels that you keep or set a guard over your heart or thought life and beliefs as the case may be.

How do you set a guard over your life? The Word of God tells us it is by Peace in the Heart.
Colossians 3:15 KJV
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

If the peace of God (Christ) rules, keeps or guards your heart, you’ll discover that things like fear, worry or sickness shall flee your life. Fear and worry produce tension. Tension creates stress which in turn causes the body to breakdown in ill health. However by allowing the peace of God to RULE or UMPIRE your heart, you’ll successfully direct your life positively.

How then does one produce this Peace of God?
This is simply by BELIEVING. The Bible describes it as allowing the Word of CHRIST abide in you preponderantly in the area of wisdom.

Colossians 3:16 KJV
Let the word of Christ DWELL in you RICHLY in all wisdom; psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, SINGING with GRACE in your hearts to the Lord.

Fill your heart or thoughts with the teachings ABOUT Christ and all He achieved for you. This will produce Grace (the understanding that you didn’t merit, earn or deserve any of it) and cause your heart to be filled with thankfulness.

This state of the heart will have no room for worries or fears. This heart state will in turn affect and influence your life and results positively. “As it is within, so it shall be without”.
This therefore proves that peaceful circumstances do not really produce peace of mind, rather it is the peace of God that produces peaceful circumstances ultimately!

Today, set a guard over your heart by making the Peace of God the umpire of your heart. This is achieved by filling your heart with thoughts that affirm and assure that IN Christ, all you need in life are available and obtainable. Christ represents the totality of God’s promises to us who believe.
“For ALL the promises of God IN HIM are yea, and IN HIM Amen, unto the glory of God by us” (2 Corinthians 1:20)

You are no longer stranded, hopeless or helpless. In Christ, you have all that you need.

We no longer look to God for the fulfilment of His Promises, we now stand in Christ who IS God’s fulfilment of EVERY Cross Testamental promise. Jesus Christ IS our answer. As long as His Death, Burial, Resurrection, Ascension and Enthronement are all true, His abundance also becomes our common experience. Only believe. Hallelujah!!!

Set that guard over your heart today beloved. May the Peace of God rule your Heart and cause your day to be fruitful by the unlimited Grace of God in the name of Messiah Yeshua. Amen.
